Composite cable into the Xbox 360 .. Is it worth it?

I am thinking of buying an Xbox 360 because it is a good deal on the Pro package here but I have been receiving mixed reviews and opinions and thats even worse ... I have a regular TV with RCA input (composite) and frankly, I can not afford an HDTV yet ... if you play on a normal RCA TV, can be in terms of graphics? I know your hot HDMI, but I mean you should buy from anyway or abandon the idea? I have the correct IP address and 85% of the Internet signal, but after the connection test it says that the Internet connection has failed and informs me that it is a DNS error.
